Asher is an urban planner skilled in developing innovative long-range plans across urban, suburban, and rural contexts. He has held key roles on projects for public sector clients at local, regional, and state governments with a focus on land use planning, community engagement, and technical analysis.
Before joining Grayscale Asher worked as an associate policy planner and GIS analyst with PlaceWorks, a planning, design, and environmental consulting firm based in California. Prior to his career in urban planning, Asher worked as a community organizer, an affordable housing advocate, and a paralegal with the Legal Aid Society of NYC's Foreclosure Prevention Project, giving him unique insight into housing and community development challenges. As a planner, organizer, and community member, his perspective is rooted in a personal commitment to sustainable, inclusive, and prosperous communities.
Asher holds a Master in Urban Planning from Harvard University with a concentration in Housing, Community, and Economic Development, and a BA in English from Oberlin College.
